Squamish Trials Event

Hey All!
Just guick note to say the Squamish Event was a huge success and super fun as well. We had 40 riders show up. Spectators were out and the rock was mostly grippy. Fun challenging sections. Spencer and the crew put some sweet sections in. Thanks for all the heart and hard work.
I'll have the results up sometime tomorrow. The trial pics will also be on the home page slide show and in the lounge pics area under squamish trial hopefully tomorrow. Here's a couple teasers for ya! Thanks Jamie Pierotti and Andrew James for the shots.

Good night!

brody rippin on the jumps

I was in Crumpit woods today helping Spencer with some sections on the advanced expert loop, wow! he's made some sweet sections, lots of work. Good rock obstacles, get ready to be entertained and have fun! anyway on the way back to the parking area in Valleycliff, I ran into Brody hanging with some friends. I met Brody at the Hare Scramble at Cat Lake a few weeks ago. He raced his trials bike there. So he's telling me how he's just tried jumping his trials bike on the double at the entrance area. Brody being an avid mtn biker on the jumps. Found it easy to master some trickery. It was awsome, he was doing little supermans, no footer can cans and stuff.
Here's some pics.

outlawtrial summerland

Hey Hey!

Finally got a chance to publish a quick post for you guys. We got to go up to the Outlaw National trials Event in Summerland last weekend. There was a huge turn out with about 60 riders both days. The loop consisted of 15 sections on a 10 km loop(2 laps). Both days consisted of the same sections on the same loop in the same direction, accept for number one was changed a bit on the Junior section for the second day.
Weather was perfect with cool nights and not to hot days with cloud cover the first day and sun on Sunday Sunday Sunday!
It was great to see Blaine and his bro Kevin show up from Whistler, they had a great battle with Blaine winning on the first day with Kevin winning on the round two Sunday. Bruce Scarth from Squamish even showed his face. I guess ANDREW DEBOER just couldn't get his things together in time, what a slacker. That being said I heard Andrew and Sean D. were known to be building some super duper sections in Conroy south of Whistler, we'll let it slide this time.
I was very excited to ride the expert class for the first time a little nervous but why not. I got to compete with Kristy Williams, Ted Mcdowall, Don Dirkson and the Chris Tronnes from Alberta.(great rider nice guy)Anrew James also entered expert to give it a go on the second day, pretty good considering he was riding the sections for the first time. I acted as his minder for the first lap as he was basically on sighting the sections.
Ted buckled down with a dnf and chose to mind and take pics of his talented son Jesse. O well, I'll have to get you next time fair and square. Kristy gave a good battle by showing us how it's done and winning on first round in expert. Second day was a little different, just a little.
Unlike last year there was a champ class, with riders like Steve Day, Dean Wangler, Todd Nordin, Andrew Watson, Sean Bird, Devon Dargis and the new to Canada from the UK Steven Foord. Steven Foord has definitely given the boys something to chase now! He won both days with Dean and Andrew close behind. I know Dean is hungry for the win. Hopefully Steve F. makes it to the Superstars so we can see him battle with Wilson Craig and maybe Ryan Bell if he shows up. I think it would be close.
Margaret got her best results on the second round with a second place and I think 8 cleans on the first lap. FYI the junior loop was the same as the rest so needless to say it had some challenging hill climbs.

Overall the camping was good, the campfires, beer, wine and stories were blazing in harmony.
Just wanted to thank Dave Rhodes for the wicked event and the big heart and love for the sport! Who's going to make the event happen next year?
Special thanks to Ted McDowall and Jesse Wandler for the pictures.

Already looking forward to the squamish trial next weekend. May 31st. Crumpit Woods behind valley cliff, follow the signs of the highway. Basically turn right at the gravel road before you go up the hill into squamish on 99.

Summerland trial directions

Hi lovely people out there!

Just wanted to post directions to get to the trial in summerland. If your not competing, it's worth it to come out and watch. Great trails to hike and wicked trias action along the way. Make sure you cheer nice and loud if you see something sweet.

See you there!

Directions to the Start. Turn into the Town of Summerland by the Petro Can Station. You will see signs saying KVR (Kettle Valley Railroad) follow these signs out of town until you get to the Railroad Station. Cross the tracks and follow this road through the Indian Reserve. We will have RED arrows posted from this location. The start area is on the left side at the top of the hill after the narrow cut (this road is a bit rough). WATCH FOR TRUCKS.

Note! The start area is approx 20min drive from Summerland.

Squamish Hare Scramble

Hey Just got the info for the official results on the Squamish Hare Scramble from last weekend. Yours truly got roosted and one of rocks broke my clutch line, had to leave the course spend have a 1/2 an hour replaceing and re-bleeding the clutch line on my GasGas 300 Raga then continued to finish 2nd. Better than first I think, anyway enough about me let's check these results of the GASGAS riders at Cat Lake.

Wanted to thank the Squamish Dirt Bike association for putting on a wicked event. See you next year!

Congratulations to all Gas Gas riders who competed in the recent Cat Scratch Fever Hare Scramble, just North of Squamish , B.C.

This event was part of the PNWMA series and had 140+ competitors.

Thanks to the Squamish Dirt Bike Association and Trail-master Barry Groundwater (EC 300 rider) for a great event!
